What is IoT Security?

IoT security is having a real-time asset inventory of all connected devices, understanding how those devices are communicating, and automating the appropriate response at-scale.

IoT security is challenging because the infrastructure consists of multiple layers that must be secured. Software that runs on these connected devices must be free of vulnerabilities and updated properly, and the networks they communicate with must be monitored for intrusions. And the data that the devices collect must be stored securely, whether it is retained on the devices itself, or offloaded to supporting systems, like a data center.

Ordr delivers visibility and security of all connected devices — from traditional servers, workstations and PCs to IoT, IoMT and OT devices. Ordr discovers what devices are in the network, profiles device behavior and risks, and then automates appropriate action. One of the differentiated actions with Ordr is that security and IT teams have quick access to dynamically created microsegmentation policies to only allow sanctioned communications for every class of device.
