NHS Digital has recently amended the NHS Digital's Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), making it mandatory for NHS organizations to maintain an up-to-date inventory of all medical devices including security vulnerabilities and data security information. All organizations that have access to NHS patient data and systems must adhere to the requirements in this toolkit to provide assurance that they are practicing good data security and that personal information is handled correctly.
